CIB World Building Congress 2013 Proceedings
The CIB 2013 World Building Congress was held on 5-9 May at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia.
The triennial event by (the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) showcased some of the world's best research and development in the built environment and construction sectors by a global research network of more than 5000 members focused on innovation.
Industry experts and panellists presented during plenary sessions on key global issues within the industry, including the varying challenges domestically and globally, the transferability of industry standards between countries, new processes, practices and software, and propositions for industry improvements.

The proceedings, including searchable access to some 355 academic papers focussed on the relationship between construction and society and how research provides progress and support, is available below.

QUT hosted the Congress, supported by the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre, and sponsors Brisbane City Council, National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility (NCCARF), NATSPEC Construction Information, BRANZ and the Australian Construction Industry Forum (AFIC).
